Microgen ID

Microgen™ BIOCHEMICAL ID is a range of products for the biochemical confirmation of foodborne pathogens. The tests are presented in an easy to use, versatile, microwell format and are supported by a powerful, comprehensive and user friendly software system to aid in the final identification..

Products in the range include:

• Gram Negative Bacilli – Oxidase positive and negative. Groups of organisms covered include enterobacteracae (Salmonella, E.coli etc.) and also groups such as Pseudomonas and Vibrio.
• Listeria spp. – developed specially for the food industry and conforming to the requirements of all international food standards, this identification contains a unique micro-haemolysin test providing a fully self-contained identification system.
• Staphylococcus spp.
• Streptococcus spp.

The combination of the appropriate Microgen™ Biochemical ID System and the computerised identification system provides laboratories with a total package to meet their organism identification needs.
